The Ripon Spa Hotel is closely associated with the Ripon Races which take place at one of the most attractive courses in the UK. Known as the Garden Racecourse, it was voted the Best Small Racecourse in the North 2009 by the Racegoers Club. It hosts a great programme of events throughout the season and we’re delighted to offer excellent value breaks and special offers for those keen to enjoy some quality time track-side.

If you love to ramble, amble or perhaps take a more serious hike, then the Ripon Spa Hotel is your perfect base! Conveniently located just moments away from the heart of this beautiful city, we’re also close to the Dales’ stunning walking territory.

Golf and Tennis

Both a Golf course & a tennis centre are approx. 2 miles (3km) away. The public tennis courts are located across the road and there is crazy golf situated in the delightful The Spa Gardens next door!

Gardens and horticulture

Multiple winner of Yorkshire in Bloom and Ripon in Bloom awards, Ripon has a fine horticultural tradition and is an ideal centre for visits to numerous celebrated gardens in neighbouring Harrogate, Knaresborough and Pateley Bridge.
